The Most Attractive Resort in Town: Public Library Service in West Toronto Junction, 1888-2009

Revised and expanded edition now available to buy or borrow.

To mark the 100th anniversary of the Annette Street branch in 2009, Toronto Public Library has published a revised, expanded edition of this popular book. The building was funded with a Carnegie grant of $20,000, but its history goes back to 1888, when library service was introduced to this area by the West Toronto Junction Mechanics’ Institute.
